NOTICE OF APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM, THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED:
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Applicant must present a valid driver's license.
Applicants must be a high school graduate or have a GED. Must be able to provide proof if needed.
Applicants must submit a DD-214 to verify military training and/or experience if a veteran.
Applicants will be required to pass a qualifying NJATC/AIR test as given by the National Joint Apprentice Training Committee. (Date and time will be given at time of application)
Applicants must be physically capable of performing the work of the trade.
Applicants must reside or have been a resident in the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee's jurisdiction for at least 12 months prior to applying. The jurisdictional area in which applicants must reside includes Jefferson, Harrison, Carrollton, Columbiana, Hancock, and Brooke counties. (There are certain boundaries in Harrison, Carrollton, Columbiana, and Brooke counties that cross into other jurisdictions.)
Applicants will be charged a $35.00 non-refundable application fee. Credit/Debit cards are NOT accepted.
Applicants will be selected on the basis of qualification alone without regard to race, creed, color, or national origin in accordance with the objective standards.
Applicants must meet all basic requirements to be eligible for interview. Apprentices will be selected in order of their ranking resulting from rating of interviewers and those selected must pass a drug screening test.
Note: Applications are normally only taken every two years. Applications were currently taken 2019.
